An interesting article. It's amazing that even when a person goes out of their way to try to find a way to be inclusive, that Christians will get even more forceful about having it all their way to the exclusion of others.

The answer is glaringly obvious though. Completely remove ANY religious ceremony, practice or prayer from government functions. It really is the ONLY solution. We have a VERY long history of religions throwing down their reason and putting up their dukes to sock it out over who gets to be king of the hill. It's time to put away childish things and get down to the serious business of governance.

Why the controversy?

Here's an idea: let's get rid of the public prayers. Period. Then everyone who wants to believe in something can do so in the privacy of their own homes, and they can call their deity whatever they want. The rest of us will not be subjected to anyone else's faith, and the leaders of our secular nation won't be praying (and arguing over who's god will be worshipped) on taxpayer time in taxpayer buildings.
