while the characteristic is not common among of obstructionist, I am sick and tired of these people with these deep southern drawls influencing our politics and the quest to move beyond the malaise of the last administration. I guess that I have just not out grown that fact that the last election clearly showed the GOP as the party of the South (sort of speak).  I guess what have not outgrown my southern roots which definitely was the realm of non-democratic principles and practices. I guess i cannot forgot George Wallace, Strum Thurman, Trent Lott,  Lester Maddox and Arkansas's Fulbright. (Even Byrd before his conversion from the KKK).

I get really sick when I see DeMint blocking the appointment of an extremely competent and skilled candidate to lead the TSA.

I get really upset when I see Lindsay Graham, tell Sotomayor that she needs to understand her place (in some many words.

My problem?  Yes, but I think history will also tell a telling tale about politics Circa 2000 on.

This is just the largest of a string of buy offs and extortions in the Senate.
