Glenn Beck once had some serious butt-hurt going on and he, like the Great American that he is, NEVER COMPLAINED about it!  He took it like a man should.  His lip never quivered.  His integrity never failed.  The left might learn a thing or two from how Glenn bravely dealt with his ordeal!

I love Keith! Poor guy, I know what he is going through with a loved one in that situation. Damn it was a bit hard to watch. Still I really am glad he did it and I know it was very difficult for him.

after Iposted this last night,I woke this morning to the news that my grandmother,is not long for this world.
So now our family is having the end of life discussion, and hoping that the rest of the family will be on board with what my grandmother wants.
it is not easy, there has been yelling and screaming and heated arguements over what everyone wants,and, I am left wondering if any of them are even listening to what she wants. This is something that should have been settled years ago,now, my aunts, uncles and my mom are breaking off into factions advocating for their personal beliefs, they are not listening to her wishes.
I have just turned 41,two days ago, and i have made end of life decisions for myself, as i get older they will definitely change to fit the circumstance,but, I could not imagine, not having my wishes followed.
Please, do this for yourself, and your family, for the worst time to take this on, is when you are in the middle of the crisis.

I sat last evening and watched as Obleramnn spoke through the 'comment'.

It was a long and heartfelt treatise on Death Panels and the non-existence of such things. It was also probably very therapeutic for Olbermann.

His Dad asked for 'HELP", Olbermann sought a conversation with the attending physicians, requested a sedative, his Dad rec'd the sedative and started to rest comfortably. Of course, Olbermann denied his Dad's request to simply 'kill me'.

Where and when will the ministers of information slow their use of lies and disinformation?  Conservations among patients, families and physicians should be required well prior to the death bed.

If you have a parent or if you are a parent and you have had this conversation with your children, and then the parent remarries, make sure the children have a legal document to speak for the parent, if that is still your wish.

My father-in-law remarried.  My sister-in-law is an RN.  My father-in-law got Alzheimer's.  At some point during the disease, my step-mother-in-law convinced my father-in-law to sign financial and medical power of attorney over to her.  At that point he was a like a child, but a notary wouldn't know that.

She did everything with her daughter's support, we were locked out.

So just get your desires in writing and give the documents to the parties involved.

watching Olbermann, he's been off the past few weeks, his dad has been very ill.
Theodore Olbermann died today, he was 80.
just thought I would pass this along to those of us who follow Keith and his health reform crusade.

it is a very difficult topic to discuss, end of life, but, everyone, left,right, middle should absolutely have this discussion with family.
Have a Living Will, make sure you have your wishes understood, about what you want. This is your right. What you want, for yourself, when time comes, and it always does.
MAKE YOUR WISHES FOR YOURSELF KNOWN,MAKE IT  LEGAL, NO ONE IN THE WORLD IS MORE QUALIFIED TO MAKE A DECISION FOR YOU, THAN YOU ARE.
