I am very proud of the job President Obama has done so far. I know many feel he hasn't gone far enough on some fronts but with all the problems we currently face, there are only so many hours in the day.

I can't help myself but to listen to the likes of Rush and Hannity. Sometimes I truly value the comic relief sometimes I get to upset by it. What really concerns me is the people that listen to them without really doing their own research and making informed decisions on their own. There are too many lemings out there willing to follow these guys off the ledge. Scary stuff.

I appreciate the kindly welcomes and all.

I feel uncomfortable with branding folks as "wing nuts" and the like.  In fact, one of my dearest friends has been instrumental in educating me about the world of Sean-Rush-Laura and he, too, has been posting over at the Limbaugh FB page.  My pal, however, is a huge fan of these folks and is a polite, yet firm, defender of his views.

I can't bring myself to publicly ridicule him as a Wingut, Ditto-Head, Hater, etc.

Don't know if I'll be posting here much, but I agree that one's mind needs to be open to collect facts and come to informed conclusions.  The problem is, different folks can come to different conclusions, even using the same facts.  (Believe me, this happens even during church council meetings!)

This is america and we can remain devoted to our individual beliefs while respecting those of people think and feel differently.

Again we are glad to have you!

Be strong and don't get sucked into any kind of 'ditto head' kinds of thinking.  Use your rational mind to discern truth from prejudice and you'll serve your Lord well.

Errr got off topic... again. Point was that as long as you can put up with robust (and, in my case often verbose)dialogue, then welcome aboard.

Ya don't get much more conservative than this.  I'm conservative, but I voted Obama and all Rush and company are doing is COMPLETELY solidifying my decision...buncha friggin freaks!!

They're quite scary, actually....

I, too am troubled by the takeover of media by opinionists, not journalists.

And I, too, am ALARMED by the utter disregard for the truth and the quantum leap in vilifying the opposition with completely unfounded accusations taken in the last 2-20 years by right-wing ideologues who have taken over the Republican Party.

And for those who feel there's even an ounce of contradiction in the term "liberal Christian", I invite you to read Jesus' actions and words in the New Testament.  Filter out the hatefulness of Jewish laws and their view of a very biased "national" God from the Old Testament, and many of the biased viewpoints of the New Testament, and you will see that "conservative Christian" is actually the oxymoron.
