Enlightening

I never realized that Democrats were the only ones who owned slaves. Thats so interesting.

I also never realized that we could compare Democrats and Republicans of 150 years ago to the politics of Democrats and Republicans now. Because, as we all know, the politics of that age are exactly the same as they are now.

I always love when I hear Republicans call themselves the party of Lincoln. The modern Republican party would be unrecognizable to Lincoln now. And we can't forget, the Republicans are also the party of Nixon. And the party of Bush. You can't just ignore the parts of history that make you look bad, thats not the way it works.
